I am Ingrida Tautkute, I am an artist from Lithuania. and I create original artwork by hand — from small and large paintings on canvas or paper to framed and unframed pieces, each made to bring something unique into your space. Currently I am based in Vilnius.
I have been drawn into art since I was seven. It has always been my way of understanding the world, expressing my inner life, and connecting with something greater than myself. Art is my instinct, my language, and my purpose.
I create to move people — to awaken something quiet within them. I’ve seen viewers respond in ways that take me by surprise: some write poetry, some pause to look inward, some simply feel calmer, energized, or inspired. Those reactions are the confirmation that I am exactly where I am meant to be.
From 2011 to 2020, I lived in China, where I worked in the fashion industry and experienced a completely different rhythm of life. That time refined my sense of balance, flow, and visual harmony. More than technical skills, it taught me to feel composition and that sensitivity now guides my painting.
My works integrate symbolic motifs, intuitive signs, and intentional placement, creating layered visual spaces that invite contemplation. In a world saturated with noise and constant stimulation, I aim for my paintings to function as quiet, immersive environments, offering viewers a moment of stillness, emotional clarity, and gentle connection.
10 exhibitions, wow! Looking back, it's hard to believe how many wonderful people, conversations, and memories are connected to this journey.
Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of presenting my work in cultural spaces across Lithuania, from our beautiful capital, Vilnius, to many other cities around the country. Every exhibition has been completely different. Some openings were filled with laughter, long conversations, speeches, and curious questions. Others were quieter, giving people space to simply stand with a painting and let it speak to them. Every closing carried its own emotions, knowing that one chapter was ending while another was already waiting to begin.
One of the greatest gifts has been hearing what people see in my work. Abstract art has no single answer, and that is exactly what I love about it. A painting can tell a different story to every person who stands in front of it. Some visitors have shared deeply personal thoughts, others have written beautiful poetry inspired by my paintings, and many have seen things I never imagined myself. Those moments remind me that art is not finished when the artist signs it—it continues to live through every person who experiences it.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who has visited an exhibition, stopped to talk, shared their thoughts, or simply spent a quiet moment with my work. Thank you for being part of this journey.
