Life with its ups and downs — we all know what it is like. We all wake up to completely different mornings, build different routines, choose different paths, and carry different dreams. Some of us slow down with a cup of coffee, some spend our days with the companionship of a loyal dog, some choose elegance, some adventure. Every life looks different, just as every person does.

In this painting, five people walk the same lifeline, each living in their own world. They don’t share the same story, the same lifestyle, or even the same place or time. One walks a dog, another relaxes on a swing, another enjoys a quiet coffee, while a sophisticated woman is accompanied by a cheetah instead of an ordinary pet. Every figure represents individuality and the freedom to live life in your own way.

To me, the road emerging from a vortex symbolises the mystery of existence — the unknown place where every journey begins. No matter how separate our lives may seem, they continuously weave into one another. We meet people by chance, only to realise later that perhaps it was never chance at all.

Hidden within the painting is another layer. The road is painted with neon pigment that reveals itself only under ultraviolet light. I loved the idea that not everything meaningful is immediately visible. Just like in life, some connections, opportunities, and truths exist long before we’re able to see them.

Lifeline is my reminder that we are all unique, and that’s exactly what makes the world beautiful.
